Product Introduction
A down-the-hole drill, usually called DTH by most professionals, is basically a mini jackhammer screwed on the bottom of a drill string. The fast hammer action breaks hard rock into small flakes and dust and is blown clear by the air exhaust from the DTH hammer. The DTH hammer is one of the fastest ways to drill hard rock. Now smaller portable drilling rigs with DTH hammers bits can drill as fast as much larger truck rigs with this newer technology.
DTH (Down to Hole) drill bit, also called spline connected drill bit, is mainly used in large scale mine (open and underground), open quarry and construction. The hammer is situated down the hole in direct connected with the drill bit with splines in the bit. The hammer piston strikes the drill bit resulting in an efficient transmission of the impact energy and insignificant power losses with the hole depth.
