Since its inception just over 10 years ago, Bannerbio which was established by the collaborative effort of several people has now grown into a thriving company with two research centers, three manufacturing plants and has established its own plantation base and stable raw material suppliers in Europe and Africa. The research center which focuses on the identification, extraction, processing and formulation of botanical bioactive ingredients was established in Shenzhen, China. The complex process of developing botanical bioactive ingredients into products by Bannerbio, not only involves the identification, isolation, and formulation of a certain ingredient, but also the expenditure of tremendous effort by its own R&D team and its collaborators from University and Institute research centers to study its mechanism(s) to further advance discovery of new applications For example, as a result of more in depth investigation of the natural botanical product Grape Seed Extract produced by Bannererbio, preliminary findings suggest that it may reduce the incidence and severity of Alzheimer's disease by its ability to reduce the levels of Tau protein associated with increased amyloidosis in the central nervous system,

Bannerbio has a long history of pursuing the R&D component that creates an environment of innovation for the development bioactive ingredients as evidenced by the several patents obtained each year.

For many years, the various international enterprises have always occupied a leading position in the formulation, development, application and most importantly, the commercialization of their bioactive ingredients. In China, plant extract manufacturer basically only provided the raw materials for the industry.
