Overview of TechnologyPressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) is an advanced gas separation technology.It has developed rapidly abroad since the end of 1960s.Gas mixtures are separated by the difference of adsorption properties of molecular sieves for different gas molecules.It uses air as raw material and uses a high efficient and selective solid adsorbent for nitrogen and oxygen so as to separate nitrogen and oxygen from air.At present, carbon molecular sieves are widely used in the field of nitrogen production. The effect is mainly based on the different diffusion rates of oxygen and nitrogen on the surface of molecular sieves.Carbon molecular sieve is a carbon-based adsorbent with some characteristics of both activated carbon and molecular sieve.Carbon molecular sieves consist of very small micropore with pore size ranging from 0.3 to 1 nm.The gas with smaller diameter (oxygen) diffuses faster and enters the solid phase of molecular sieve more frequently, so that the nitrogen enrichment component can be obtained in the gas phase.After that, the adsorption of oxygen by molecular sieves reached equilibrium.According to the different adsorption capacity of carbon molecular sieves to adsorbed gases under different pressures, reducing pressure can make carbon molecular sieves desorb oxygen. This process is called regeneration.Pressure swing adsorption (PSA) usually uses two towers in parallel to alternately perform pressure adsorption and decompression regeneration to obtain continuous nitrogen flow.
Technological process:The composition of PSA nitrogen plant system: air pressure system, purification system, adsorption system and buffer system.Air Compression System: Air is compressed from compressor to rated standard, providing continuous and stable air flow and pressure for nitrogen making system.Purification system: Water, oil and dust are removed from the compressed air through a cold dryer and a filter so as to provide clean air source for later stage pressure swing adsorption.Absorption system: There are two absorption towers A and B equipped with special carbon molecular sieves. When the clean compressed air enters the inlet of tower A and flows to the outlet through carbon molecular sieve, O2, CO2 and H20 are adsorbed, and the nitrogen flows out from the outlet of the adsorption tower. After a period of time, the adsorption of carbon molecular sieves in tower A was saturated. Then tower A automatically stops adsorbing, compressed air flows into tower B for oxygen absorption and nitrogen production, and the molecular sieve of tower A is regenerated.Buffer system: Nitrogen enters the buffer tank for buffer storage.Technical features:1. Adopt advanced inequality pressure equalization process to reduce the consumption of compressed air directly.2. Advanced filling technology makes the filling of carbon molecular sieves more uniform and dense, and the friction coefficient is decreased to the lowest so as to improve the reliability of long-term operation of the whole machine.6. Advanced cylinder auto-pressing technology is adopted. Alarm signals will be sent when carbon molecular sieve is in short supply so as to prevent the powdering of carbon molecular sieve.7. Automatic venting device for unqualified nitrogen.8. Famous brand valves and components are used to ensure the quality of products and guarantee nitrogen production, purity and pressure long-term stability9. Friendly man-machine interface is very easy for operation.
