Application
IOTA 28723/28724/28725/28729 silicone oils are phenol terminated linear polydimethylsiloxanes. Phenol group has strong reactivity and heat resistance. It is mainly used for the modification of polycarbonate to improve its flexibility, impact resistance, heat resistance, aging resistance, flame retardancy and other properties. It can also be used for the copolymerization or blending modification of polyester, polyurethane and other polymer resins, as well as the preparation of lubricants, release agents and so on.
Packaging and Storage
This product is packed in 25L, 200L inner coating iron or 1000L IBC plastic tank, with net weight of 25KG, 200KG or 1,000KG each.
The product is stored in a sealed state at normal temperature, and the validity period is 24 months from the date of production.
Safety and Transportation
This product should be sealed and stored at room temperature. Customers should carefully read the product information, material safety data sheet (MSDS) and labels before use. And familiar with the product safety information, operating instructions, environmental impact, and wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
Q: What is phenol-terminated silicone oil?
A: Phenol-terminated silicone oil is a silicone oil containing phenol groups (Phenyl). It is usually a polymer composed of polysiloxane chains terminated by phenol groups and has the characteristics of both siloxane chains and phenol groups.
Q: What are the uses of phenol-terminated silicone oil?
A: Phenol-terminated silicone oil is widely used in many fields, including:
Lubricant: Used as a lubricant in mechanical parts, industrial equipment, etc. to provide surface lubrication and protection.
Sealant: Used to seal materials such as rubber, plastic, etc., to increase their durability and water resistance.
Coating materials: used as special coating materials, such as in some electronic components or surface treatment applications.
Q: What are the characteristics of phenol-terminated silicone oil?
A: Phenol-terminated silicone oil has some characteristics:
High temperature resistance: able to maintain stability in high temperature environments.
Excellent lubricity: Provides surface lubrication and friction reduction effects.
Chemical stability: High resistance to some chemicals.
Q: What is the impact of phenol-terminated silicone oil on health and the environment?
A: Generally speaking, phenol-terminated silicone fluid is generally considered relatively safe under normal use conditions. However, when decomposed at high temperatures, harmful gases may be released, so ventilation and safety measures are required during handling and operation. For individual users, if there is any discomfort or allergic reaction, they should stop using it immediately and seek medical advice.
