Butyl acetate is a kind of carboxylate ester synthetic flavor, also known as butyl acetate, colorless with strong fruit flavor of transparent liquid, can be miscible with ethanol, diethyl ether, soluble in most organic solvents, slightly soluble in water, solubility in water is 0.05g. The vapor has a weak anesthetic effect and the permissible concentration in air is 0.2g/ L. This product has a strong fruity aroma, but when diluted, it has a pleasant pineapple and banana like aroma, with poor durability. Found naturally in many vegetables, fruits, and berries. Butyl acetate is rarely used in daily chemical flavor, but mainly used in edible flavor formulation.
